AS An Assembler A , YOU WILL: Responsible for the assembly and/or test of a variety of valves, cylinders (excluding Task Master, Rodless & NFPA), individual components, kits, or sub-assemblies. (Check Valve, Flow Control Valve, Quick Release Valve, Shuttle Valve, Stackmaster Valve, Mini-Master Valve, 740 Valve, 840 Valve, Needle Valves, Cartridge Valves, kits, CERAM piston sleeve sub-assembly, CERAM cover sub-assembly and similar General Industry products introduced from Europe of the same or less complexity.) Work is performed from a Bill of Material, drawings and/or process sheets. Must be able to use testing devices, various hand and power tools, drills, and simple holding devices. Pre-packing valves and small cylinders as assigned. Making up nameplates for valves and small cylinders as assigned. Disassembling and salvage parts from devices as assigned. Responsible for re-dating good parts and preparing for delivery to the next work station as assigned. Sorting parts and preparing parts for delivery to the next operation as assigned. Performing routine re-working deburring, degreasing and cleaning of parts as assigned. Masking and cleaning parts in preparation for painting during peak periods as assigned. REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: High School Diploma or GED Prior manufacturing or assembly experience is a plus Must be able to use a tape measure to the 1/16″ Must be able to stand and walk for 8 to 12 hour shifts May be required to lift up to 50lbs Attention to detail is key Must be able to read and understand work instructions Legal authorization to work in the United States PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: DELETE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW BEFORE POSTING List the other preferred educational background, experience or qualifications for the positions.
