Erosion Control Crew Leader LCA

CREW LEADER- LCA Position Class: Hourly Hours Required: 40+ Per Week Pay: $15/Hour with appropriate experience Reports To: LCA Branch Manager (621 Shore Road, Gilbert SC 29054) Description This is a General Labor position with multiple job responsibilities essential to day to day operations in erosion control. Communication and leadership skills are vital to success in this role. The crew leader is responsible for leading a team of employees daily to efficiently complete tasks while operating company owned equipment and vehicles. Required Job Knowledge, Experience, and Skills Ability to listen and follow directions Strong leadership and communication skills A commitment to customer service and ability to represent oneself in a professional manner Physically fit and able to work long days outside in the elements Basic ability to read and write neatly Must be organized and efficient with completing assigned tasks High character and integrity essential Must be able to work independently and with minimal direct supervision Ability to consistently utilize good judgement and make sound decisions Ability to take initiative, be proactive and seek continued improvement Reliable, someone that can be counted on by management and crew members to get the job done A valid SC driver’s license and ability to meet insurance requirements for past driving record (preferred) Experience working with tools and equipment specific to erosion control installations (preferred) Experience pulling a trailer (preferred) Must have a reliable cell phone (LMES will provide a stipend for use of phone by the crew leader) Job Duties Go over the daily schedule with the Branch Manager upon arrival each morning Supervise and assist with loading trucks with proper materials each morning as needed Ensure crew members are trained and thoroughly understand their job responsibilities Ensure customer satisfaction through a service-oriented approach and controlled urgency Be sure all erosion control work is completed to a high standard of excellence Communicate as needed with site managers and branch manager throughout the day Record completed work accurately in your crew’s logbook each day Achieve daily and weekly goals for your crew’s revenue generated per person Attend biweekly crew leader meetings with the Branch Manager Ensure all vehicle and equipment inspections are done at proper intervals Foster and maintain a strong relationship with all customer site managers Relay important information, incident reports, or concerns utilizing the proper chain of command To Apply: Submit Resume and Contact Information to Paid Holidays.
