THE POSITION Sr. Test Engineer – Electronic Braking Systems. Continental Automotive Systems, Inc. Auburn Hills, MI. Create test specifications and document test results relating to electronic brake system and function. Execute electronic braking system function and application tests in simulation environment (SIL/HIL) and/or vehicle. Coordinate and maintain test vehicles and needed test equipment. Support SW setup and support creating and testing prototypical software. Plan, execute and document project specific development and release activities on vehicle level. Interface with customer regarding requirements, testing, and application of EBS system and function on a vehicle level. Identify and troubleshoot issues relating to system/function performance versus internal or customer requirements. Support internal and customer management presentations and vehicle evaluations of Electronic Braking System Functions. Job Category Engineering Job Requirements Job Requirements BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related or equivalent. Two (2) years of experience: testing and application experience of Anti-Lock Braking Systems (ABS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Start Assist (HSA), and Anti-Roll Protection (ARP) systems to include: Two (2) years of experience: limit handling of both low and high center of gravity passenger vehicles (passenger cars and SUV/Trucks) on both low and high mu (µ) surfaces; Two (2) years of experience: Vehicle Diagnostic tools; Two (2) years of experience: CAN architecture; Two (2) years of experience: debugging vehicle level electrical, CAN and other issues relating to Electronic Braking Systems; Two (2) years of experience: evaluating Electronic Brake System Requirements and developing test plans from requirements; Two (2) years of experience: debugging C code; Two (2) years of experience: using Vector CANalyzer and CAPL; Two (2) years of experience: developing motorcycle ABS systems; Two (2) years of experience: developing ABS systems on commercial trucks; and Two (2) years of experience: installing and maintaining instrumentation equipment (pressure transducers, accelerometers, force transducers, potentiometers, and wiring harnesses). Requires valid driver’s license (any state or international) at time of hire. Requires at least 40% US travel for vehicle development, customer technical support and to perform test driving at test tracks.
