This one year freelance role (with opportunity to extend) is for a Sr. UX Product Designer, currently remote but hopefully will return to onsite in NYC (downtown 1 New York Plaza), 40 hours a week, healthcare benefits provided, 401K, 5 paid sick days, more. What You Will Do: Our award-winning Fortune 500 client is looking for a Sr. UX Product Designer to join their growing team of designers and researchers who bring an entrepreneurial spirit to a leading global financial firm. By infusing design thinking methods, our client solves real business problems by putting clients at the center of their products. One of the design opportunities here is to help enhance our clients 3-D platform, a business application tool by Financial Advisors when servicing their Wealth Management clients. While the general aesthetic of the platform is important, the priority for this role is to make the complicated workflows behind the product offerings hyper intuitive to help ensure that the Financial Advisors are well equipped to bring best services possible(e.g. 401k approvals and financial plans for their clients) As a Sr. UX Product Designer for this product, you will help design this new offering from the ground up. Under the guidance of the Lead UX Designer, you will strategize and execute the product vision by being heavily involved in the end-to-end product design process Design an intuitive and elegant experience that empowers the clients to make confident financial decisions Work closely with the Research Team to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data and made value-driven design decisions and translate into clear, simple UIs Create and present a variety of design deliverables (sketches, wireframes, user flows and prototypes) in a way that engenders confidence in you and your solutions with the team and the greater organization Design holistic solutions that integrated seamlessly into the Wealth Management product ecosystem; design and deliver responsive/adaptive solutions that are optimized for web and mobile interfaces and partner with engineers to translate designs into successful products What You Need: An outstanding portfolio that demonstrates how you have created experiences that solved business and user needs 5 years experience as a UX designer as a key contributor to the success of products that have launched Bachelor’s degree in design or related field; masters degree a plus Fluency in Sketch, Adobe CC and InVision You thrive in a collaborative, explorative environment and value being on a diverse team that you can bounce ideas off of, get critical feedback and unite to mature design thinking in a large organization You practice active listening and contribute in group situations (i.e. brainstorms, audits, critiques, whiteboard sessions, etc.) You have a high tolerance for complex projects with lots of ambiguity and you are resilient in the face of obstacles, a desire to uncover a problems root cause by testing, learning and iterating and you constantly seek opportunities to evangelize and promote design thinking in a large organization What is it like working with Aquent?
